Why the market environment is important 

The fenaco cooperative is active along the entire food value-added chain: from growing to harvesting, storing, processing and selling. Our focus area is Switzerland. Swiss production is characterised by regional, decentralised structures, short transport routes, attention to quality and a high level of product safety. Products from Switzerland are already forerunners in the area of sustainability, and we aim to strengthen and expand their position compared to foreign products. It is important and necessary to procure raw materials from abroad when certain agricultural products do not grow in Switzerland’s climate or when they are not available in sufficient quantities (e.g. feed grains, vegetables).
